SHREVEPORT, La. — Girl Scouts of Louisiana – Pines to the Gulf has announced the honorees for its 2025 Shreveport Women of Distinction luncheon, an annual celebration of purpose-driven female leaders across a 42-parish service area.
The event recognizes women who exemplify excellence in service, leadership, community visibility, and professionalism, serving as role models who inspire Girl Scouts to pursue their own goals and dreams. Proceeds benefit the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, which equips girls to grow into the female leaders of tomorrow.
This year’s Shreveport Women of Distinction Luncheon will be held Thursday, Sept. 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the LSUS Student Union Ballroom.
2025 Honorees
- Deidra Adair — Executive Director, Children’s Coalition of Northeast Louisiana
- Krystal Critton — Community Engagement Associate, Ronald McDonald House
- Deanna Curtis — CASA Community Coordinator, Volunteers for Youth Justice
- Cenerica Smith — Executive Director, Louisiana Urban Gardening Initiative; Court Reporter
- Von Jennings — Owner, Von Jennings Consulting Services
- Brittany Bass Arvie — City Court Judge
- Dr. Chelette Holden — Owner, Holden Counseling and Consulting
- Dr. Meghan Olinger — Dean of Student Support and Advocacy, McNeese State University
In addition to the female honorees, the council will also present its “Man Enough to Be a Girl Scout” award to Tyler Spears, founder of Saturn Six Creative. The recognition honors a man whose community impact reflects the Girl Scout mission.
