Shreveport, La. — Average gasoline prices in Shreveport have risen 2.1 cents per gallon over the past week, now averaging $2.63 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 177 stations in the area. Despite the slight uptick, prices remain 5.2 cents lower than a month ago and are 35.7 cents cheaper compared to the same period last year.
By comparison, the national average price of gasoline remained unchanged over the past week, holding steady at $3.10 per gallon, while the national average diesel price fell by 2.0 cents to $3.499 per gallon.

“Gas prices have been volatile, with about half of U.S. states seeing increases and half seeing declines,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “For now, the national average should hover between $3.10 and $3.20 over the coming week.”
De Haan noted that oil prices are currently stabilizing in the low $60s per barrel range, contributing to mixed trends across the country.
