SHREVEPORT, La. — The Prize Foundation has rescheduled its Battle for the Golden Fork culinary competition for Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 5 p.m. at Bossier Parish Community College. The event, originally postponed due to inclement weather during Prize Fest, will be held outdoors in BPCC’s main quad and is free and open to the public.
The competition will feature three local chefs selected during Prize Fest’s Come & Get It event: Jasmine Cherry of The Noble Savage, Chelsea Girard of Heron/Mae & Company, and Dylan Teekell of Library on Fern. The chefs will face off in a Chopped-style mystery basket cookoff, preparing dishes for a panel of celebrity judges who will select the winner of the Golden Fork award and a $5,000 grand prize.
“We’re so proud of these incredible chefs and can’t wait to see them face off in the ultimate culinary showdown,” said Gregory Kallenberg, executive director of the Prize Foundation. “We invite the community to come out, cheer them on and experience the energy, creativity, and spirit that makes Food Prize so special.”
