SHREVEPORT, La. — Five Star Breaktime Solutions has acquired AM Coffee LLC, strengthening its coffee service portfolio in northwest Louisiana and expanding its regional footprint.
The transaction adds nearly 90 coffee and refreshment service locations to Five Star’s existing Shreveport operations. The company said the accounts will be integrated into its local platform to ensure uninterrupted service and customer support.
AM Coffee was founded in 1981 by Mary Moore after she was fired from the coffee company where she worked. The business grew into a local refreshment services provider serving companies throughout the Shreveport area. Her son, Price Moore, an Air Force veteran, assumed leadership of the company following her retirement nearly 20 years ago and has operated it since.
“Five Star looks forward to building upon the strong foundation established by the Moore family and continuing to provide exceptional refreshment solutions to the Shreveport community,” said Pat Barger, director of mergers and acquisitions for Five Star.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Five Star, headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee, provides away-from-home food and beverage retail services to employers and commercial, institutional and educational locations.
