SHREVEPORT, La. — Dress for Success Shreveport-Bossier’s Professional Women’s Group will hold its November luncheon on Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Bonvenu Bank Community Room in the Beaird Tower, 330 Marshall Street.
The event will feature guest speaker Carla Burgos, director of special initiatives at the Community Foundation of North Louisiana, who will present “Resilience: Your Superpower.” The program will focus on developing personal strength and adaptability during uncertain times.
The luncheon brings together professional women, community leaders and advocates for economic empowerment to promote personal development and networking. It supports the Dress for Success mission of helping women achieve economic independence through professional support and community connections.
“In the moments of uncertainty — like the current government shutdown — our sense of stability can feel shaken,” said Von Jennings, president of Dress for Success Shreveport-Bossier. “However, it is in these very moments that believing in your personal resilience becomes your greatest strength.”
Attendance is free, though registration is required. Donations are encouraged to support Dress for Success programs that provide career preparation, job retention and leadership training for women across Northwest Louisiana.
