SHREVEPORT, La. – Ochsner LSU Health has appointed Dr. Dani Zoorob as Chief Medical Information Officer, a new role that will focus on integrating clinical informatics and data-driven strategies to enhance patient care and health system performance across North Louisiana.
Dr. Zoorob currently serves as chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ochsner LSU Health and as assistant dean of faculty development at LSU Health Shreveport. He brings leadership experience in clinical operations, medical education and health technology to his new position.
As CMIO, Dr. Zoorob will oversee the optimization of the system’s electronic health record platform, coordinate data integration initiatives and guide the use of technology to improve quality and safety. His previous projects include developing maternal safety dashboards and advancing digital care redesign.

A board-certified urogynecologic surgeon, Dr. Zoorob is also recognized nationally as a surgical educator. His advanced degrees in business administration, health administration, informatics and educational leadership reflect his multidisciplinary approach to healthcare improvement. He will continue his clinical and academic responsibilities while serving as CMIO.
Ochsner LSU Health employs a range of digital tools, including the MyOchsner patient portal and DeepScribe documentation software, to streamline care and improve efficiency for patients and providers.
