Health System Maintains Top Rating for Second Consecutive Survey Period
Shreveport, La. — CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier Health System has once again received an ‘A’ grade from The Leapfrog Group, a nationally respected healthcare watchdog that ranks hospitals on their commitment to preventing medical errors, injuries, and harm to patients.
This marks the second consecutive top-tier rating for the health system, following its ‘A’ grade in the Fall 2024 survey. The Spring 2025 results, released today, underscore CHRISTUS’s continued dedication to excellence in patient safety and care quality.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade evaluates nearly 3,000 hospitals nationwide and publishes results biannually. Ratings are based on more than 30 national performance measures, including:
- Maternity care
- Critical care
- Elective outpatient procedures
- Medication safety
- Complex surgeries for adults and children
