BOSSIER CITY, La. — Mayor Tommy Chandler announced Wednesday that he has selected Shane Cheatham to serve as the next Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Bossier City.
The announcement came during the South Bossier Lunch event, where Chandler said Cheatham’s appointment is subject to approval by the City Council.
Cheatham, a lifelong resident of Bossier City, is a local business owner and former elected official. He has been active in community and civic initiatives, particularly in South Bossier.
Chandler said he is confident in his choice, citing Cheatham’s “proven work ethic,” “commitment to service,” and “integrity” as reasons for the appointment. The mayor added that he looks forward to adding Cheatham to his administrative team to continue efforts to “make Bossier better.”
Both Chandler and Cheatham expressed enthusiasm about working together on behalf of Bossier City residents.
