BOSSIER CITY, La. — The Business Administration Program at Bossier Parish Community College will host a Small Business Expo on Saturday, April 25, at 10 a.m. in Building F, Room 203 on the college’s Bossier campus.
The event, sponsored by Grow with Google, aims to connect local businesses with the public while providing information on entrepreneurship, career pathways and educational opportunities.
Bossier Parish Community College is partnering with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., whose members will showcase businesses they own and operate. The organization will also deliver presentations on internet basics and digital learning, offering practical tools for navigating digital platforms.
Attendees will be able to engage with local business owners and professionals, explore careers in business and technology, and receive on-site assistance with enrollment for summer courses. Participants will also have the option to join a free Google AI Essentials course focused on foundational artificial intelligence concepts and real-world applications.
Faculty from the college’s Business and Information Technology division will be available to discuss associate degree and certificate programs, including accounting, business management, customer service, human resource management, small business entrepreneurship, money and banking, retail management, culinary arts, business analytics and healthcare management. The programs are aligned with industry-based certifications designed to prepare students for workforce demands.
High school students are encouraged to attend to learn about dual enrollment opportunities that allow them to earn college credit while still in school. Scholarship information will also be available for prospective and current students.
