Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington has announced an extension for the payment of property taxes, following delays in the delivery of tax notices. Residents now have until January 31, 2025, to make payments without incurring penalties.

“We understand the importance of timely tax notices for our residents and are committed to ensuring everyone has adequate time to fulfill their obligations,” said Sheriff Whittington. “We appreciate the community’s patience as we work to resolve this issue.”
The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that efforts are underway to mail all outstanding tax notices by the end of the week. Sheriff Whittington reiterated his office’s commitment to transparency and efficient service: “Our goal is to provide clear communication and make the property tax process as seamless as possible for everyone.”
