BOSSIER PARISH, La. — The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office added six new employees during a ceremony held at the Bossier Parish Courthouse, formally swearing in new deputies, corrections officers and a dispatcher.
The new hires include Alexander Edwards, Derrick Green and Ashley Thrift as deputies; Simon Ober and Landyn Pierce as corrections officers; and Trisha Monceaux as a dispatcher.
Julian Whittington, sheriff of Bossier Parish, congratulated the new employees during the ceremony, noting their commitment to public service and community safety.
Family members, friends and sheriff’s office personnel attended the event as each employee took the oath of office, marking the start of their careers with the department.
The sheriff’s office said deputy applicants must be at least 21 years old, while corrections officer positions are open to applicants starting at age 18. Interested candidates can begin the application process by contacting the recruiting division of the Human Resources Department.
