BOSSIER CITY, La. — Bossier City officials have launched a new brand identity and positioning platform centered on the tagline “A City on the Move,” following a yearlong process of research, stakeholder engagement and strategic planning.
The branding initiative is intended to reflect the city’s growth, economic development priorities and long-term vision, and was introduced during a public event attended by city leadership, business representatives and community stakeholders.
City officials said the new brand is designed to guide messaging, decision-making and development efforts, and is built around four core pillars: safety and stability, service with integrity, disciplined growth and community connection.

“This brand is more than a logo or tagline,” said City Council President Chris Smith. “It is a declaration of who we are and where we are going. It reflects the momentum we see throughout our city and our commitment to moving forward with purpose, partnership, and progress.”
Mayor Tommy Chandler said the initiative reflects collaboration among public officials, businesses, educators, military partners and residents, and highlights ongoing investments in infrastructure, public safety and economic development.
The platform also introduces messaging frameworks such as “Bossier Moves For” and “Bossier Moves With,” aimed at emphasizing both community advocacy and partnerships across sectors, including business, education and public safety.
City leaders said the branding will be integrated into communications, digital platforms, signage and marketing materials in the coming months as part of broader community engagement efforts.
“Bossier City is moving with intention. We are moving together. And we are moving forward on behalf of the people we serve,” said Chief Administrative Officer Shane Cheatham. “This brand reflects that commitment and the momentum that continues to shape our community.”
Officials said the branding effort aligns with ongoing initiatives including infrastructure improvements, recreation enhancements, cultural development and continued support for the Barksdale Air Force Base community.
