BOSSIER CITY, La. — The Bossier Chamber of Commerce will hold its second annual Women’s Leadership Conference on March 31 at Live! Casino & Hotel in Bossier City, bringing together business and community leaders for a half-day event focused on professional and personal development.
The conference, presented by CHRISTUS Health and Live! Casino & Hotel, is scheduled during Women’s History Month and will center on the theme “Be Bold.” Organizers said the theme is designed to encourage women professionals to take initiative in advancing their careers, strengthening their families and expanding their leadership roles in the community.
The program will feature keynote presentations from Melvina A. Smith, a retired U.S. Air Force chief master sergeant and CEO and founder of The Mel Perspective LLC, and Courtney Kunau-Davis, an entrepreneur and mindset and wellness mentor.
The event will also include breakout sessions and interactive discussions.
A session titled “Be Well” will feature an “Ask the Doc” panel discussion led by CHRISTUS providers on current topics in personal wellness. Another breakout session, “Be Unshakeable,” will be led by Lisa Arendell and will focus on aligning body language, values and presence to build influence.
In addition, attendees can participate in “Table Talks” sessions covering civic engagement, mental health and financial literacy. Topics include “Be The Change,” focused on community involvement; “Be Your Best,” addressing mental health strategies for personal and professional success; and “Be Savvy,” centered on financial empowerment.
