BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. – Two Airmen assigned to Barksdale Air Force Base will officially become U.S. citizens during a naturalization ceremony scheduled for 10 a.m. on Monday, July 15, at Hoban Hall on the base.
The ceremony, hosted in partnership with U.S. Customs and Immigration Service, will include remarks from Col. Michael Maginness, commander of the 2d Bomb Wing, who will preside over the event. The Honorable Mark Hornsby, United States Magistrate Judge for the Western District of Louisiana, will administer the oath of allegiance.
The Airmen receiving their citizenship are:
- Airman 1st Class Atson Nameta, 2d Logistics Readiness Squadron
- Airman 1st Class Tykhon Alexandrov Rudenok, 12th Combat Air Base Squadron
This annual ceremony celebrates not only the personal milestones of these service members, but also underscores the ongoing contribution of immigrants to the strength and diversity of the United States Armed Forces.
