SHREVEPORT, La. — The American Rose Center will host a community celebration on July 5 marking the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States, with a daylong event featuring live entertainment, family activities and fireworks.
The event, titled “Red, White & Blooms,” will include live music performances, a car show, games and food offerings, according to organizers. The celebration is open to the public with ticketed admission.
Scheduled entertainment includes performances by The Bone Society at 6 p.m., the gospel group Redemption at 7 p.m. and the Victory Belles at 8 p.m., leading up to a fireworks display.
Additional activities include a car show hosted by the Red River Street Rod Association, a patriotic costume contest and lawn games. Family-focused attractions such as chalk art, hula hooping and inflatable bounce houses will also be available.
Tickets are priced at $10 per person or $30 for a family four-pack, with advance purchase available online through the American Rose Center.
The American Rose Center, located in Shreveport, is a public garden featuring extensive rose collections along with landscaped grounds, sculptures and water features. The site operates seasonally from April through October and charges general admission for daily visitors.
