Bossier City, LA – Competitive cornhole is returning in a big way to the Shreveport-Bossier area. The American Cornhole Organization (ACO), the worldwide governing body of the sport since 2005, will host the ACO Shreveport-Bossier Major Tournament and a Pro Series Skins competition at the Bossier Civic Center on April 4-5, 2025.
The event will draw top ACO professionals from across the country, competing for ranking points and cash prizes as they work to qualify for the ACO World Championships of Cornhole 20, set for July 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The tournament is part of the ACO’s national Major tour—one of more than 40 events held across the country this season.
Adding to the excitement, the ACO Pro Series Skins competition will raise the stakes, making this stop one of the top draws on the Season 20 schedule.
“The ACO is pumped to return for the 2025 Season 20 Shreveport-Bossier Major,” said Frank Geers, ACO Founder and President. “The team from Shreveport-Bossier continues to be a top-notch partner, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to take our relationship and the sport of cornhole to the next level in the region.”
The weekend will kick off with an ACO Backyard Bash at East Bank District on Thursday, April 3, offering the public a chance to enjoy blind draw play and other social events. Admission to Friday and Saturday tournament events is free for spectators, and the public is encouraged to attend, watch top-tier cornhole in action, or even sign up to compete.
Public participants can register for competitions like the ACO Big Blind Draw, and there are divisions for all skill levels. Full event information, including tournament rules, ACO membership, and registration details, is available at www.americancornhole.com. Registration is now open at: https://americancornhole.ticketsauce.com/e/aco-shreveport-major-20/tickets.
With its blend of professional and social play, the ACO Major is expected to draw strong attendance and add to the growing calendar of regional events that position Shreveport-Bossier as a destination for both sports and entertainment.
