BATON ROUGE, La. — Two Allstate subsidiaries have filed for auto insurance rate decreases that will affect more than 12,000 policyholders statewide, according to information released by Gov. Jeff Landry’s office.
Allstate North American Insurance Company filed for a rate reduction of nearly 8 percent, covering 10,746 personal auto policyholders. Encompass Insurance Company of America’s National General program filed for a 15 percent decrease affecting 1,516 policyholders. The changes take effect December 8, 2025.
“Proud to see yet again that our insurance reforms are working,” Landry said. “These rate reductions are proof that when we create a stronger, more stable insurance market, Louisianians benefit. We will continue pushing for reforms that bring real relief and more competition to our state.”
