Alana Hofmann, MD, has joined Willis Knighton John C. McDonald Transplant Center and WK Advanced Surgery Center, part of the Willis Knighton Physician Network. She specializes in organ donation and abdominal transplant, including liver, pancreas and kidney. She also treats cancer and diseases of the liver, gallbladder and bile duct.
Following completion of an accelerated BA/MD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Dr. Hofmann completed a general surgery residency at the University of Central Florida/HCA Consortium Ocala. She specialized in transplantation surgery with fellowship training at the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Hofmann recognizes the importance of community awareness of organ donation and living donor transplants and is involved in raising awareness within the community so that more lives can be saved and healed.
A lifelong tennis athlete, Dr. Hofmann looks forward to becoming involved in the local tennis community in her personal time. She also enjoys cooking, particularly fancy meals, but gets satisfaction from creating quick, healthy versions.
Dr. Hofmann accepts new patients and most insurance plans.
