SHREVEPORT, La. — Average gasoline prices in Shreveport declined 1.7 cents per gallon over the past week to $3.28 per gallon, according to a survey of 177 stations conducted by GasBuddy.
The average price is 43.6 cents lower than a month ago but remains 61.0 cents higher than the same time last year.
GasBuddy reported the lowest-priced station in Shreveport was selling gasoline for $3.06 per gallon on Sunday, while the highest-priced station charged $3.69 per gallon, a spread of 63 cents. Across Louisiana, prices ranged from $2.59 to $4.99 per gallon.
Nationally, the average price of gasoline fell 6.9 cents over the past week to $3.78 per gallon. The national average is down 55.6 cents from a month ago but is 64.2 cents higher than one year ago. The national average price of diesel declined 11.4 cents during the past week to $4.876 per gallon.
Historical data show Shreveport motorists paid $2.67 per gallon on June 29, 2025, compared with $2.89 in 2024, $3.01 in 2023, $4.33 in 2022 and $2.72 in 2021.
Among neighboring markets, average gasoline prices fell 14.1 cents per gallon in Little Rock to $3.36, declined 12.9 cents in Dallas to $3.12, and dropped 6.8 cents statewide in Louisiana to $3.41.
“Average gasoline prices fell in 46 states over the last week, with diesel declining in 49, pushing the national average to its lowest level since mid-March,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “The declines came despite a turbulent week, as fresh attacks were traded between the U.S. and Iran before both sides agreed to halt hostilities just in time Sunday, preventing what could have been a significant spike in oil prices. For now, GasBuddy anticipates the national average will continue drifting lower this week, though the situation remains anything but predictable. A handful of price-cycling states could see prices jump ahead of the July 4 holiday, while many states that already cycled higher last week should see prices fall back down. Motorists in non-cycling states are likely to see continued relief, but the fragile nature of the U.S.-Iran situation means the outlook could shift quickly.”
GasBuddy, a PDI Technologies company, compiles fuel price data from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering more than 150,000 gas stations across the United States. The company said its fuel price averages are updated 288 times daily using station reports, direct station integrations and transaction data.
