The Bossier Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Margaritaville Resort Casino and Boomtown Casino, delivered over 7,000 cookies to more than 1,000 military members in the community on Friday. This annual tradition is a heartfelt gesture of appreciation for the service and sacrifices of local military personnel.
The initiative was made possible with the support of several partners, including The Boot, The Wooden Spoon, Sugar Sheaux, Jason’s Deli, Live! Casino & Hotel, and Barksdale Air Force Base. Volunteers, including First Sergeants and Military Spouses at Barksdale Air Force Base, helped package and distribute the cookies to single airmen living in the base barracks. Additionally, the Bossier Chamber and The Boot extended their outreach by delivering cookies to local reserve units, the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), and Camp Minden.
For several years, the Bossier Chamber and Margaritaville Resort Casino have collaborated on this holiday cookie drive, which serves as a small but meaningful token of gratitude to those who serve our nation.
Through community partnerships and generous contributions, the holiday tradition continues to bring smiles to service members during the festive season.
