BOSSIER CITY — The Bossier City Council received an update on the BeBossier campaign during its regular meeting Tuesday, as Bossier Chamber of Commerce President Lisa Johnson highlighted the program’s ongoing efforts to promote a positive image of the community.
BeBossier, launched in 2017, is a marketing and community pride campaign aimed at showcasing the strengths, people, and opportunities of Bossier City and Bossier Parish. The initiative is funded through the hotel-motel tax with support from both city and parish governments.

“We started this campaign back in 2017,” Johnson told the council. “We came to the city and parish and asked that the city and parish help to underwrite a positive news campaign for Bossier City and Bossier Parish through the hotel-motel tax. It has been a very successful campaign.”
Johnson noted that community participation remains a key element of the program’s success. “We have to remind ourselves that we are the ambassadors of our community,” she said.
Looking ahead to 2026, Johnson said the campaign’s annual manual is being reintroduced as a high-quality, magazine-style publication that highlights Bossier’s amenities, businesses, and quality of life. The publication is currently being printed and will serve as a marketing tool for attracting visitors, new residents, and business investment.
Council members thanked Johnson for the update and recognized the BeBossier campaign’s continued role in promoting community pride and positive visibility for the city and parish.
