LOUISIANA The U.S. Postal Service will close all Post Office locations across Louisiana on Thursday, Nov. 27, in observance of the Thanksgiving federal holiday. Only Priority Mail Express will be delivered. Regular mail delivery and retail services will resume Friday, Nov. 28.
USPS reminded customers that more than 2,600 self-service kiosks in select lobbies nationwide remain available when Post Offices are closed. The kiosks allow users to print postage for Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express and international shipping, purchase stamps, weigh and mail packages and access tracking information.
Additional self-service options continue to roll out as USPS modernizes its retail network. These include Rapid Dropoff Stations for pre-labeled packages, label printing from merchant-provided QR codes and USPS Smart Lockers that offer 24/7 drop-off and pickup access at select locations.
Many kiosks operate around the clock to provide customers added convenience during the holiday period. For more information on USPS services, customers can visit the Postal Service’s website.
