SHREVEPORT, La. — Denis Poljak, co-founder, partner and managing director of Poljak Group Wealth Management at Steward Partners, has been inducted into Centenary College of Louisiana’s 2025 Alumni Hall of Fame.
The recognition was announced during Centenary’s 200th anniversary celebration at the Alumni Awards Banquet held Oct. 23 on the college campus. The award honors graduates who have demonstrated professional excellence and continued dedication to the Centenary community.
A former competitive tennis player for Centenary, Poljak studied economics and finance before earning additional degrees and certifications in business and financial management. He was instrumental in establishing several scholarships at the college, including the Coach Jimmy Harrison Memorial Endowed Scholarship and the Poljak Family Endowment Fund, which supports tennis program operations.
“We couldn’t be more pleased to congratulate Denis for receiving this honor during Centenary’s Bicentennial milestone; he has been a steadfast supporter and ambassador for Centenary College since he graduated over 30 years ago,” said Davor Poljak, co-founder of Poljak Group. “His deep care for Centenary is rooted in his gratitude for their exceptional academics and it drives his passion for giving back to the institution and his community.”
Poljak holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Centenary, an M.B.A. from Louisiana State University-Shreveport, and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Sarajevo.
