The Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce has announced 16 honorees for the 2025 ATHENA International Leadership Award, which recognizes professional excellence, leadership and civic engagement.
The honorees will be recognized at the ATHENA Leadership Award Luncheon on Nov. 13 at Sam’s Town Hotel & Casino. One individual will be selected at the event as the 2025 award recipient. The luncheon is presented by Ochsner LSU Health.
“The ATHENA Award is not just about recognition, it’s about honoring the profound impact these leaders have made through service, mentorship, and advancing others,” said Verni Howard, president of the chamber’s Business Development Connection Committee. “Each honoree exemplifies the vision, strength, and dedication that propel our community forward.”
The 2025 ATHENA honorees are: Kimberly Anderson, Carlotta Askew-Brown, Sonja Bailes-Bain, Lindora L. Baker, Andrea Danielle Blair, LaCurtria Clay, Dr. Shonda Ford, Tricia Webb Grayson, Kristina B. Gustavson, Jennifer Dean Hemmings, Allison Mayfield, Shelli Briery Murphy, Ruth Moseley Norton, Tonja L. Whitaker Prudhomme, Britney Lane Ratcliff and Dr. Kristy Waltman.
Since its founding in 1982, the ATHENA International Leadership Award has honored nearly 8,000 leaders across more than 500 communities in the United States and abroad.
