SHREVEPORT, La. — The 12th annual Give for Good online giving campaign, organized by the Community Foundation of North Louisiana (CFNLA), raised a record-setting $2,535,735 for over 200 local nonprofits, reaffirming the region’s commitment to generosity and community support.
“Give for Good is such a wonderful celebration of our community’s generosity and collaborative spirit,” said Kristi Gustavson, CEO of CFNLA. “We are honored to provide this opportunity to showcase the vital contributions our local nonprofits make to our community and are so proud of the way that our citizens step up year after year to support this work.”
A total of 8,708 gifts were made by 4,207 individual donors, benefiting 222 nonprofits across North Louisiana. The initiative supports a wide range of services including healthcare, education, social services, and the arts.
As a unique feature of the event, all donations were amplified by the Lagniappe Fund, a bonus pool that enhances each gift on a pro rata basis, helping participating nonprofits maximize the impact of every dollar raised.
“Give for Good is the most important philanthropic day of the year,” said Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux. “Hundreds of charities participate and benefit from additional contributions from the Lagniappe Fund. I was proud to join with so many others to make my donations during Give for Good.”
Since its launch, Give for Good has raised nearly $25 million for the North Louisiana community.
