The 40 Under Forty Awards highlight outstanding young professionals excelling in the public, private, or non-profit sectors. Nominees are evaluated based on achievements, leadership, innovation, vision, and community involvement. This program recognizes the region’s brightest young entrepreneurs, executives, managers, and professionals who demonstrate a commitment to excellence.

Minority Business Opportunity Awards
The Business Development Connection (BDC) of the Greater Shreveport Chamber will honor minority individuals and businesses making a difference at the Annual Minority Business Opportunity Awards Dinner. Each year, awards are given in the following categories:
- Top Business Professional of the Year: Recognizes a minority individual who demonstrates professional excellence, leadership, and community service.
- Emerging Business of the Year: Honors a new minority-owned business that shows promise for growth and has established itself in the community.
- Small Business Owner of the Year: Celebrates a minority-owned small business (with fewer than 50 employees) that thrives under its leadership.
- Non-Profit Professional of the Year: Recognizes a professional working in a non-profit organization who exemplifies leadership, service, and a commitment to addressing the needs of minorities in the community. (This category is open to all, regardless of minority status.)
