SHREVEPORT, La. – Southern Components won the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce’s 2026 “Why the Hole Not?” Chamber Open on Oct. 6 at Querbes Golf Course, with Eagle Distributing finishing second and Fire Tech placing third.
The annual tournament, presented by Honeywell UOP, drew 23 teams from the Shreveport-Bossier business community for an afternoon of golf and networking.
The Chamber Open uses a flight competition format designed to accommodate players of varying skill levels. Along with tournament play, golfers participated in on-course challenges and had opportunities to win raffle items and cash prizes.
The event provides a setting for business owners, employees and colleagues to build relationships with other companies across the region. Clear skies greeted participants, with lunch and registration preceding an afternoon tee time.
Supporting sponsors included Barksdale Federal Credit Union as the 19th Hole sponsor, Gibsland Bank as clubhouse sponsor and Mercedes-Benz of Shreveport as swag sponsor.
ANECA Federal Credit Union sponsored the driving range, Hamm Mechanical sponsored golf balls, Volkert sponsored golf carts and Fire Tech Systems sponsored the beverage cart. Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Shreveport and Eagle Distributing served as beverage sponsors.
Additional businesses supported the tournament through hole sponsorships and prize donations.
