SHREVEPORT, La. — Willis Knighton Physician Network has added two physicians to its medical staff, expanding pulmonary critical care and internal medicine services.
Howard N. Murray, MD, has joined WK Red River Pulmonary Critical Care, where he treats patients with serious respiratory and critical care conditions. His areas of care include severe infections, shock, pneumonia and acute or chronic breathing difficulties.

Murray earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, San Diego, and his medical degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing. He completed an internship and residency at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Michigan, followed by a fellowship in pulmonary critical care medicine at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
Murray’s interest in medicine began during childhood after watching a family member struggle with a respiratory condition. Outside of medicine, he enjoys gardening, woodworking, golf and landscape painting.
Lauren Sartin, MD, has joined Willis Knighton Internal Medicine Associates, where she provides comprehensive adult primary care. Her practice includes the prevention, diagnosis and management of chronic conditions and serious illnesses in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
“The same doctor treating you in the clinic will be the same one treating you in the hospital,” Sartin said.

Sartin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Mississippi State University in Starkville and her medical degree from the University of Mississippi in Jackson. She completed her internal medicine residency at Willis Knighton Health.
Her practice includes conditions involving the heart, blood, kidneys, thyroid, joints and digestive, respiratory and vascular systems. She also has special interests in geriatrics, obesity medicine and medical weight management.
Outside of work, Sartin enjoys traveling, gardening and family board game nights.
Both physicians are accepting new patients and most insurance plans.
