SHREVEPORT, La. — Two Shreveport companies and one Ruston-based company are among the businesses named to LSU’s 2026 LSU100, with Ruston-based Argent Financial Group also earning a spot on the LSU ROARING20 list.
Shreveport-based Hargrove Roofing LLC and McClure, Bomar & Harris LLC were selected for the LSU100, which recognizes 100 of the fastest-growing businesses owned or led by LSU graduates. Argent Financial Group, headquartered in Ruston, also made the LSU100 and was one of 20 companies selected for the ROARING20, which recognizes the highest revenue-generating businesses among program applicants.
Argent was founded in 1990 and maintains its corporate headquarters at 500 East Reynolds Drive in Ruston. The financial services company also has a Shreveport office at 333 Texas St. that employs about 30 professionals in trust administration, investment management, retirement plans and other financial services.
Hargrove Roofing operates from Shreveport and serves residential and commercial customers across a multistate footprint. The company says it began in Shreveport in 2017. LSU’s submitted company information lists its founding year as 2015.
McClure, Bomar & Harris is an independent insurance agency with offices in Shreveport and Baton Rouge. The company traces its roots in Shreveport to the late 1890s.
Argent is one of 15 companies appearing on both the LSU100 and ROARING20 lists this year.
Companies must apply annually for consideration. LSU will announce the final rankings for both lists at a private gala in November.
The LSU100 program began in 2011 and recognizes LSU graduate-owned or graduate-led businesses.
