RUSTON, La. – Eighty-three bankers from across Louisiana gathered in Ruston for the fourth annual Louisiana Tech University School of Banking, held June 2-6, 2025. The professional development program, hosted by the College of Business in collaboration with the Louisiana Bankers Association, is designed to enhance the knowledge, leadership, and skills of the next generation of banking professionals.
Throughout the week, participants engaged in training on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, regional economic development, and a range of banking operations topics. Courses were led by Louisiana Tech faculty members, seasoned banking executives, consultants, and regulators.
“The Louisiana Tech School of Banking has fast become a vital resource for the banking industry in Louisiana,” said Rodney “Poncho” Seaford, SVP and Director of Credit Support Services for b1BANK and Chair of the School’s Advisory Board. “With a focus on professional growth, leadership, and innovation, the School is playing an important role in developing the next generation of bankers.”
The week concluded with a graduation ceremony for 36 bankers completing their second year of study. Participants competed in a BankExec simulation, managing mock bank operations throughout the week. The winning team, Integrity One United Bank, included Amy Flint (Caldwell Holding Company), Danielle Hearne (Louisiana National Bank), Briar Prewitt (b1BANK), Logan Reeder (Home Federal Bank), and Justin Stanley (Delta Bank).
