BPCC’s NOW College provides growing options for working adults to access education at night, online, and on the weekends. This program has expanded after a successful pilot last year to include additional programming.

In today’s fast-paced world, the key to success often lies in specialized skills and knowledge. BPCC has recognized this and responded by introducing a range of cutting-edge programs. These programs are designed in collaboration with local industries to ensure graduates are job-ready. From healthcare to technology, students can now access the skills needed to thrive in high-demand fields. In healthcare, BPCC recently added a Sonography Program. This program will prepare students to use ultrasound training, technical skills and understanding of human anatomy to determine if structures are normal or abnormal through testing.
A State-of-the-Art Campus: A college’s physical environment can greatly impact the learning experience. BPCC has invested significantly in upgrading its campuses. The impressive state-of-the-art facilities include modern classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, and a new technology that rivals any major university. BPCC recently unveiled HAL – the most advanced AI patient simulator available – and it is the only one available in Louisiana. HAL offers immersive training opportunities for emergency and ICU care. The simulator uses AI technology to carry on conversations with students, perform active motor functions, and simulate abnormal eye movement and dynamic facial expressions. This allows faculty to better recreate real life healthcare environments for students.

Behind every successful educational institution are dedicated faculty and staff members. BPCC has taken steps to ensure that its team remains motivated and well-prepared. Faculty members are encouraged to pursue ongoing professional development, keeping their teaching methods current and engaging. The college also offers competitive compensation packages to attract and retain top talent with faculty members earning above the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) average.

Services provided through the Cavalier Care Center provides a food pantry and career closet as well as a connection to other social services needs in our community for transportation, healthcare, and housing.
