We all know that 2020 was a year of great hardship for many within our business community. But we also know that many of you have amazing stories to tell of triumph, reinvention, and just plain success.
With our annual meeting date set for our April 22, now is the time to start telling us those stories!
We are opening up nominations on March 1 for our annual Business of the Year and Business Person of the Year awards.
We love nothing more than to celebrate our member businesses and all of the great work they do in the community and beyond. We know it hasn’t been easy, but we also know that celebrating success in the midst of this chaos will bring us ALL great joy.
Do you have a favorite business that went above and beyond for you, or your business, during the pandemic? Nominate the business for Business of the Year!
Do you know a business person who really showed initiative and innovation during the tumult that was 2020? Nominate them for Business Person of the Year!
We know many businesses had to change the way they operated completely to continue to survive in 2020. Supply chains failed, employees couldn’t work, people couldn’t gather in large groups indoors – you know the rest – and this caused a lot of disruption to our personal and professional lives. Many of us went home for long periods of time and learned how to work remotely, in a way we never have before.
But when we think about all of these things that have happened, we think of specific stories of many businesses going the extra mile to take care of their employees and customers. We saw so many great examples of businesses changing their model of operation, and enhancing it in the process.
We saw many, many businesses work together or lend a hand to others so that we could all try to make it through this better and together.
We know you’ve seen it, too. And those businesses and business leaders deserve to be recognized and celebrated for their contributions.
