In May, Bossier Parish Community College will host a MEGA graduation celebration for our spring graduates AND we are inviting all of our 2020 graduates BACK TO BPCC to participate in this celebration of their accomplishments.
Graduating from college is a major accomplishment and to persist through a pandemic is something to be celebrated…and we will celebrate BIG!
For this mega graduation, BPCC is returning home to where it all started – Airline High School. We are holding our graduation on the football field to accommodate more graduates and to provide an open air location to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. On behalf of the graduates and the BPCC community, I want to thank Superintendent Mitch Downey and Principal Justin James for allowing us to host this special event at the high school. BPCC has strong ties to Airline having started behind the school more than 50 years ago as the “13th and 14th grades.” We are excited to return to Airline to celebrate these graduates.
We are also excited to welcome Jacque and Dan Jovic to serve as our commencement speakers for this super celebration. As award-winning and celebrated journalists, they will no doubt have inspiring words for our graduates and their families. I want to thank them both for giving of their time to make this event memorable for our students.
This graduation will celebrate student accomplishments over the past year and we look forward to the bright futures ahead for these graduates. At BPCC, we are proud of what they have achieved during remarkable times and we look forward to celebrating with them on May 14th.
