Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, the national restaurant and sports bar chain celebrated as America’s #1 Sports Bar by ESPN, has appointed Chris Porcelli as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Porcelli, who previously served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), is stepping into this leadership role at a pivotal time as Walk-On’s embarks on an ambitious nationwide expansion.
Porcelli has been instrumental in guiding Walk-On’s strategic planning, supply chain management, and human resources during his tenure as CFO. His promotion to CEO marks a new chapter for the company as it prepares to introduce an innovative prototype aimed at accelerating its growth across the United States.
“Even before joining the team, I was always impressed by Walk-On’s remarkable growth and success,” said Porcelli. “During my time as CFO, I’ve come to appreciate just how special this brand is. It’s an honor to step into the CEO role and lead our talented team as we enter this exciting phase of growth.”
Brandon Landry, Co-founder and Chairman of Walk-On’s, expressed his confidence in Porcelli’s leadership. “We’re entering a pivotal new chapter with our upcoming prototype, and there’s no one better suited to lead us through it than Chris. Since joining Walk-On’s, he has brought a dynamic energy and passion, driving franchisee success while strengthening our connections within the communities we serve.”
The company’s trajectory has been on a steep upward curve, especially after securing a strategic investment from 10 Point Capital in 2020. Tom Wells, Managing Partner at 10 Point Capital, highlighted Porcelli’s critical role in shaping Walk-On’s strategy. “Chris has been integral to Walk-On’s positioning and strategy. His vision and leadership are exactly what we need to propel the brand forward.”
