Holy Angels is set to host its 43rd Annual TASTE: A Festival of Food and Art on Thursday, September 26, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Shreveport Convention Center. This eagerly awaited event promises an evening filled with art, food, music, and dancing, all in support of Holy Angels’ mission to empower individuals with disabilities.
Tickets for TASTE are priced at $100 per person, offering guests the opportunity to indulge in a culinary experience featuring over 40 restaurant vendors, including Holy Angels’ renowned lasagna. Attendees will also enjoy complimentary beer, wine, and champagne from the Bubble Bar. Entertainment for the evening includes live music by Rouge Krewe and special performances by the Holy Angels choir.
New to this year’s event is an exclusive live auction, featuring unique pieces available only at TASTE. In addition to the live auction, the event will include a silent auction with over 150 items up for bid. The auction will feature artwork created by Holy Angels residents, original pieces from local artists, fine jewelry, experiences, and unique items from across the country.
The online preview of the silent auction begins on September 19, allowing guests to view items and plan their bids in advance. Holy Angels encourages guests to register for the silent auction before the event by visiting the auction website and completing a simple three-step registration process. Auction assistants will be available on-site to help make the bidding process seamless and enjoyable.
“TASTE has become a signature event for our community, bringing together over 1,500 guests each year to celebrate and support the incredible work we do at Holy Angels,” said a representative from Holy Angels. “We are excited to welcome everyone for an evening of great food, inspiring art, and unforgettable entertainment.”
Since its inception in 1981, TASTE has grown into a beloved community event, drawing attendees from across the region. The funds raised at TASTE directly support Holy Angels’ programs, including job training, day programs, outpatient therapy, education, and residential services, all aimed at helping individuals with disabilities achieve their highest level of independence.
