Ruston, LA – Louisiana Tech University has named Dr. Heath Tims as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Louisiana Tech University Alumni Association and Associate Vice President of the Division of University Engagement. In this dual role, Tims will utilize his extensive experience and leadership skills to enhance and expand alumni relations and engagement.
Previously serving as the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies in the College of Engineering and Science, Tims will now lead collaborative efforts across multiple organizational units to strengthen and build upon the relationships established through alumni engagement.
“Expanding our alumni engagement efforts has become an obvious and compelling opportunity,” said Louisiana Tech President Jim Henderson. “With over 88,000 living alumni, our work and mission are more relevant than ever. I am confident that Heath’s leadership will unlock exciting possibilities for the future.”
In his new role, Tims will focus on fostering deeper connections with alumni and enhancing the impact of the University’s outreach efforts. His extensive background in engineering and science education, combined with his commitment to advancing the University’s mission, will be instrumental in driving this initiative forward.
