Louisiana Blue Promotes Kia Price‑Fields to VP, Customer Service

BATON ROUGE—Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana has promoted Kia Price‑Fields to vice president, Customer Service, effective Aug. 1. Previously director of Customer Service, Price‑Fields has been serving as interim VP since May.

Reporting to Paula Shepherd, executive vice president, Health Plan Operations and Technology, Price‑Fields will manage Blue Cross’ Customer Service departments across all lines of business and be accountable for their performance. She will be responsible for establishing departmental strategic objectives and ensuring that Customer Service operations are executed in a high-quality and efficient manner. Price‑Fields will lead initiatives to improve processes and associated systems continuously.

Price‑Fields joined Louisiana Blue in 2022 as director, Customer Service. Previously, she was director, Patient Access, with HCA Healthcare/Parallon Business Solutions in New Orleans, having held roles of increasing responsibility there. She also worked in customer service management positions at TriWest Healthcare Alliance and AT&T Entertainment and Technology.

Price‑Fields earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business management at Southern University at New Orleans and a certification as Project Management Professional from AT&T University. She is currently working toward her MBA degree in strategic leadership at Amberton University, based in Garland, Texas.
