Shop, Explore, Create: Discover Downtown Shreveport at the July Artwalk!

SHREVEPORT, La. – Mark your calendars for Wednesday, July 10th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., as the Downtown Shreveport Artwalk returns with a captivating blend of art, history, and creativity. Presented by the Downtown Development Authority, this free event promises something for everyone.

Event Highlights

The July Artwalk will spotlight the 400-block area of Texas and Marshall Streets, transforming it into a vibrant hub of local artistry and live demonstrations. This month’s event features a special treat: “Downtown Tells” by Robert E Trudeau at the Huddie Ledbetter statue. Trudeau will lead an engaging session with shuffle dance, hand percussion, and sing-along activities, making it a must-see experience.

“Sketch the City” with Mischa Farrell

Mischa Farrell returns with “Sketch the City,” an interactive sketching session at One Texas Centre starting at 6 p.m. Participants are encouraged to capture the essence of Downtown Shreveport through their artwork.

Additional Activities

Enjoy live music from street performers Kyle Barclay and Kenny Brown as you explore the various venues. The Artwalk is self-guided, allowing you to start and stop wherever you choose, and many locations will be offering special deals.
