Local Restaurant, Dillas Quesadillas, Raises Funds for Volunteers of America North Louisiana

by BIZ Magazine

Shreveport, LA (June 20, 2024) — As summer temperatures rise, so does Dillas Quesadillas’ commitment to community support. Partnering with KTBS Channel 3, Dillas Quesadillas, with locations in Louisiana, DFW, and soon East Texas, will donate $100 to Volunteers of America North Louisiana for every day the temperature reaches 100 degrees. The donations will be used to purchase uniforms for school-aged children served by Volunteers of America North Louisiana.

“We are excited to partner with the Volunteers of America to raise money for school uniforms for students in need,” said Pete John, CEO of Primeaux Restaurant Group, the franchisee of Dillas Quesadillas. “Volunteers of America has made and continues to make a great impact in the community, and we are thrilled to help make a difference for them. Giving back to the community that has given so much to us is a pillar in our organization and something we strive to do in every community we serve.”

With the summer heat intensifying, the initiative’s impact on students in need becomes increasingly crucial. Carolyn Hammond, CEO and President of Volunteers of America North Louisiana, emphasized the importance of this support: “For students to be successful in school, they must have access to necessities, like uniforms, backpacks, hygiene items, and school supplies. These raised funds will greatly benefit our children and families programs, ensuring that we can provide new uniforms for students in need before the 2024-25 school year begins.”

As temperatures soar over the next few months, Dillas Quesadillas’ initiative promises to make a significant difference in the lives of many students, ensuring they are well-prepared for the upcoming school year. This partnership highlights the restaurant’s dedication to giving back to the community and supporting local organizations that make a positive impact.
