Local residents came out in droves to welcome the highly anticipated ALDI grocery store during its grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday morning, June 13, 2024. Customers actually began camping out in front of the store on Wednesday night, as ALDI was giving away gift bags filled with ALDI products and a gift card to the first 100 customers to enter the store on Thursday morning.  Customers could also register to enter a sweepstakes giveaway through June 16 for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card.

During the ceremony, local elected officials and ALDI management addressed the crowd eagerly awaiting entry to the new store.

The Bossier Press-Tribune, part of Specht Newspapers Inc., attended Thursday morning’s grand opening event and spoke with ALDI management officials about the new Bossier City store. District Vice President Scott Huska said, “We are really excited to be here and we are overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the customer base here in Bossier City. One thing I know is that we will live up to their expectations and provide the highest quality grocery products at the lowest prices.”

District Manager Trevor Carmody said, “This is an incredible place to be. We take a lot of pride in what we do. We are really excited to be a part of the community. The community outreach and the number of people that showed up today and their excitement is amazing to see. This is a big day for us. We want to make sure that we are bringing excellent quality products at great prices every single day and that we are here for years to come.”

District Manager Tyler Van Duser said, “It’s super humbling and it’s a really good experience to be a part of a new community, meet a lot of new customers, see a lot of new faces, and work with a new team here in Bossier City. It has been an honor.”

“We really do appreciate it, and we love the community and we’re excited to be here with the community,” he concluded.

The new ALDI grocery store in Bossier City offers fresh, organic produce delivered daily, an unmatched selection of cheese and beer, and food for every taste and lifestyle (gluten-free, plant-based, and more). Additionally, the store provides convenient access to curbside pickup and grocery delivery options. ALDI focuses on quality food at everyday low prices.

The new Bossier City store is approximately 12,000 square feet of retail space, making it easier to navigate than traditional grocery stores. The consistent size of ALDI stores across the country is a key part of their formula for success, with every ALDI featuring a similar, easy-to-navigate layout.

ALDI, a low-cost German grocery store chain operating over 12,000 stores in 18 countries, opened a location on Mansfield Road in Shreveport in November 2023. The new Bossier City ALDI grocery store is located in the former Bed Bath & Beyond location at 2900 Meadow Creek Drive.
