Bossier Chamber of Commerce Hosts Community Development Institute in Louisiana

Bossier City, LA – Last week, the Bossier Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted community leaders from across the state for the Community Development Institute (CDI) in Louisiana. This event, held in partnership with CDI Central, was underwritten by Louisiana Economic Development and partially hosted by the Louisiana Tech College of Business.

Nationally Recognized Program

The CDI is a nationally recognized program dedicated to educating individuals on the principles of building better communities. The event brought together emerging leaders who are committed to creating more opportunities and fostering development within Louisiana. Attendees participated in a series of workshops, seminars, and networking sessions designed to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to drive community improvement initiatives.

Engaging the Community

The event featured a variety of sessions on topics such as economic development, community planning, and leadership strategies. Participants also had the opportunity to engage in practical simulations and real-world exercises to apply their learning.

The success of the CDI event was made possible by the generous support of numerous sponsors. Scholarship sponsors included the Noel Foundation and the Greater Bossier Economic Development Foundation (GBEDF). The simulation was sponsored by CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier Health System.
