Shreveport Gears Up for June Downtown Artwalk: Art, Music, and More

Shreveport, LA – The Downtown Shreveport Artwalk is set to return on Wednesday, June 5, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., offering a vibrant evening filled with art, music, and community engagement. Organized by the Downtown Development Authority (DDA), this free event promises to be a cultural celebration highlighting the unique venues in the 400-block area of Texas and Marshall Streets.

This month’s Artwalk will feature local artistry, live demonstrations, and special events. Attendees can stroll through the streets, visit participating venues, meet local artists, purchase art, and enjoy live music and special menu items. One of the event’s highlights will be the “Downtown Tells” session hosted by Robert Trudeau at the Huddie Ledbetter statue. Trudeau plans to involve the audience in shuffle dance, hand percussion, and sing-alongs, making it an interactive and engaging experience.

Sketch the City, led by Mischa Farrell, will also return, offering participants the chance to capture the essence of Shreveport through their sketches.

Artwalk offers various food and drink options, ensuring a delightful culinary experience alongside artistic exploration. With no set starting point or ending point, attendees have the freedom to navigate the event as they please. A map to guide visitors can be found at
