The average price per gallon has risen by 0.9 cents, reaching $3.05/gallon today. However, prices remain 1.6 cents lower than a month ago and 14.8 cents lower compared to the same time last year.
The national average price of gasoline has also experienced a modest uptick, rising by 4.3 cents per gallon over the past week to $3.64/gallon. Despite this increase, the national average is still 1.1 cents lower than a year ago.
In Shreveport, prices at the pump vary significantly, with the cheapest station selling gas at $2.79/gallon and the most expensive station charging $3.59/gallon. This 80-cent difference highlights the importance of shopping around for the best deals.
