Shreveport, LA – Rashida Dawson, Vice President of Financial Stability at United Way of Northwest Louisiana (UWNWLA), has been appointed as a council member for the Community Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. In this role, Dawson will represent north Louisiana, providing insights into the region’s current and emerging economic conditions.
The Community Advisory Council serves as a vital channel for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas to engage with a diverse group of community leaders from the Eleventh Federal Reserve District on matters related to current economic trends and developments. Furthermore, the council facilitates a deeper understanding of the Federal Reserve System and its role in shaping monetary policy.

They possess a strong understanding of the issues affecting communities in the Eleventh District, with a specific focus on the challenges faced by low- and moderate-income populations. Members serve a three-year term, with the option for reappointment to a second term.
