Groundbreaking Ceremony to Mark the Launch of Troubled Muse Studios’ Latest Venture

Shreveport, Louisiana – March 20, 2024 – Troubled Muse Studios, a leading provider of visual effects, animation, and television and film production services, is expanding its footprint with the groundbreaking ceremony for its new studio facility in Shreveport. The spacious facility, spanning over 22,000 square feet, will be located within the Mall St. Vincent, signaling a significant step forward for the studio’s growth and development.

Since its inception in 2022 by Hollywood veteran R. Andru Davies, Troubled Muse Studios has been at the forefront of the entertainment industry in Northwest Louisiana. With its inaugural animated TV project in Bossier City in 2023, the studio has consistently provided comprehensive production services while embracing the latest technologies, including motion capture, AR/VR, and real-time animation.

CEO R. Andru Davies expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, stating, “We are currently in production on three animation TV series, with a packed slate of greenlit animation and live-action productions lined up for 2024 and 2025.”

The new facility in Shreveport will serve as the primary hub for TV and film project development and pre-production in Northwest Louisiana, capable of accommodating up to six simultaneous projects. Additionally, it will feature a dedicated networking space to facilitate connections between out-of-state projects and local businesses, filming locations, and skilled crews.

David “Rocky” Rockett from the Greater Bossier Economic Development Foundation (GBEDF), who assisted Troubled Muse Studios in establishing its first footprint in Bossier City, emphasized the collaborative aspect of the expansion, stating, “It brings both sides of the river together to build a fully operational system of filmmaking.”

In 2023, Troubled Muse Studios engaged over 100 contract-based workers, established high-paying year-long positions, and fostered opportunities for local talent, including graduates from the Digital Media Institute (DMI). Moreover, the studio invested over $200,000 in arts and education initiatives to support young talents in the region.

With this expansion, Troubled Muse Studios aims to uphold its commitment to excellence in Film and Television while continuing to collaborate with local schools and communities. By attracting professional talent from Los Angeles and beyond, the studio seeks to establish Shreveport-Bossier City as a premier destination for creativity and innovation in the entertainment industry.
