by BIZ Magazine

Lisa Johnson, President/CEO of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce, has announced the launch of nominations for the annual Salute to Community Heroes event, sponsored by Willis-Knighton Health. The event, scheduled for later this spring, aims to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the community across various sectors.

The Salute to Community Heroes event serves as a platform to recognize individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and service to the community. Nominations are open to individuals who have gone above and beyond in their roles, whether through their work, volunteering efforts, or acts of heroism and kindness.

“We want to shine a spotlight on those who have made a positive impact in our community, whether it’s through their professional endeavors, volunteer work, or acts of kindness,” said Lisa Johnson. “These individuals embody the spirit of service and selflessness, and it’s important to acknowledge and celebrate their contributions.”

Community members are encouraged to nominate individuals they believe deserve recognition for their outstanding efforts. Nominations can be submitted online through the Bossier Chamber of Commerce website, with the deadline for submissions set for Friday, March 15.

“We want to hear about the unsung heroes in our community who may not always receive the recognition they deserve,” added Johnson. “Whether it’s a coworker, friend, or neighbor, we want to honor those who have made a difference in the lives of others.”

Finalists selected from the nominations will be honored at the Salute to Community Heroes event, where top winners for 2024 will also be announced. The event provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of individuals who have positively impacted the Bossier City community.

“I look forward to reading your nominations and appreciating your help in identifying these remarkable individuals,” Johnson concluded. “Your nomination could make a big difference in recognizing and celebrating the contributions of our community heroes.”
