LABI Announces 2024 Board of Directors and Emerging Leaders Council

Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI), a leading advocate for free enterprise in Louisiana, unveiled its roster of officers and Board of Directors for the year 2024 alongside the introduction of new members to the 2024 LABI Emerging Leaders Council (ELC). The announcement underscores LABI’s commitment to fostering a robust business environment and cultivating the next generation of business leaders in the state.

Comprising 100 influential business executives from various industries across Louisiana, the LABI Board of Directors plays a pivotal role in advocating for policies that promote economic growth and prosperity. Meanwhile, the Emerging Leaders Council is dedicated to nurturing young entrepreneurs from LABI member companies, empowering them to actively shape Louisiana’s business landscape.

LABI President and CEO, Will Green, expressed enthusiasm for the organization’s trajectory, thanking the outgoing 2023 chair, Jude Melville, for steering LABI through a period of transition and welcoming the incoming board members to propel Louisiana forward.

Jason DeCuir, co-owner of Advantous, assumes the role of Chair for LABI’s 2024 Board of Directors, succeeding Jude Melville. In his inaugural address, DeCuir emphasized the pivotal role of the business community in driving meaningful change in Louisiana’s economic landscape, expressing optimism about the state’s potential to become a regional economic powerhouse by 2030.

Key appointments to the board include Laura Lyles as President of the Louisiana Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (LACCE), Reldon Owens as the annual Trade Association Representative, and John Overton as the Small Business Representative. Additionally, Melanie Clouatre will chair the Emerging Leaders Council, overseeing the development of young professionals within LABI member companies.

Several new faces have joined the LABI Board of Directors, bringing fresh perspectives and expertise to the table. Among them are Mark Kent Anderson of Mid South Extrusion, Inc., Pamela Granger of McBade Engineers and Consultants, and Calvin Hart of Nucor Steel Louisiana.

Simultaneously, LABI welcomed new members to its Emerging Leaders Council, including Logan Anderson of Jones Walker, Marissa Manuel of Olivier Group, and Kristina Sarai of Cox Communication.

The diverse composition of the 2024 LABI Board of Directors and Emerging Leaders Council reflects the organization’s commitment to driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and advancing the interests of the Louisiana business community.
