Superior Grill, a beloved fixture in the Shreveport dining scene, experienced an unexpected setback on Thursday evening when an electrical fire broke out on the roof over the kitchen. Fortunately, all patrons and staff members were safely evacuated from the premises.
The incident occurred at the restaurant located at 6123 Line Ave.,, which has been a staple of the Shreveport community for over four decades. Founded in 1983, Superior Grill has earned a reputation for its vibrant atmosphere, delicious Tex-Mex cuisine, and outstanding customer service.
According to a statement from Superior via Facebook, “Tonight, an electrical fire started on the roof over the kitchen. Most importantly, all our patrons and teammates made it out safely. We will further assess the damage Friday and let the community know when we can again open our doors to serve Shreveport and all our friends in our 41st year. We thank the Shreveport Fire Department and all the first responders for their help keeping everyone safe this evening.”
The extent of the damage caused by the electrical fire is yet to be fully assessed. However, the management of Superior Grill plans to evaluate the situation further on Friday to determine the necessary repairs and renovations.
