Bossier City Adapts Service Schedule Amid Harsh Weather Conditions

by BIZ Magazine

In response to the anticipated severe cold and deteriorating road conditions overnight, Bossier City Mayor Tommy Chandler has announced a modified schedule of services for January 16, 2024.

Bossier City Hall will be closed on Tuesday, with the exception of essential personnel who are required to report to work. The decision aims to prioritize the safety and well-being of city employees and residents amid challenging weather conditions.

Additionally, Bossier City Court proceedings scheduled for Tuesday, January 16, 2024, have been canceled. However, it’s important to note that the Bossier City Council meeting will proceed as scheduled at 3:00 pm. The meeting will take place in the City Council chambers located at 620 Benton Road and will be open to the public.

Following the City Council meeting, the Bossier City Charter Commission will convene as planned at 4:00 pm in the same location. Both meetings are open to the public, providing an opportunity for civic engagement despite the weather-related adjustments.

Residents are encouraged to stay updated on any further developments by checking the official channels of Bossier City, and to exercise caution when navigating the city’s roads given the expected challenging conditions. The city remains committed to ensuring essential services are maintained while safeguarding the community’s safety during adverse weather events.
