by BIZ Magazine

Ruston, LA – Louisiana Tech University, in collaboration with the Louisiana Bankers Association, presents the Louisiana Tech University School of Banking, a comprehensive professional development program designed for rising leaders, regulators, and vendors in the banking industry. The program, hosted by the College of Business, is set to take place from June 3-7, 2024.

Program Overview

The School of Banking focuses on expanding the skills and knowledge base of individuals with three or more years of industry experience. With a strategic emphasis on fintech, innovation, regional economic development, technology in banking services, and information security, the program provides a holistic view of the evolving banking landscape.

Curriculum

Led by Louisiana Tech University faculty, top banking executives, regulators, and select service providers, the program covers a wide array of topics. Discussions include operations, risk management, liquidity, marketing and sales, and regulation. In addition to engaging classroom discussions, the program features on-campus bank executive simulations and off-campus in-depth case studies.

Two-Year Cohort Experience

Participants will experience a two-year cohort, offering on- and off-campus networking and mentoring opportunities. This collaborative approach aims to foster lasting connections and relationships within the banking community.

The 2024 School of Banking will welcome a new cohort for their first year of classes and welcome back the 2023 cohort for Year 2. Classes and meals will be conducted at the College of Business on Louisiana Tech’s campus in Ruston, LA. Housing will be provided for attendees in one of Ruston’s hotels.

Cost and Registration

The all-inclusive investment per student per year is $2,500, covering course materials, housing, breakfasts, lunches, and networking socials. The total cost for the two-year program is $5,000 per student. Registration for the 2024 School of Banking is now open.
